About

Voyagons started out as a log of my adventure to London my final semester of undergrad, but has expanded into something larger over the years. That semester abroad inspired a great love of travel and I’ve made it my mission to travel as much as possible.

Phase II of the blog came about whe, I was an administrator at a university with student loans and a mortgage who was just trying to make ends meet. I was trying to show people how I managed my travels, even on a shoestring budget. I picked the name because in French it simply means “we traveled,” which is something I aspire to be able to say when I’m old and weary and telling stories.

We’re exciting to be launching Phase III, and hoo boy have things changed! Jeff and I have moved twice: we did one 9-month stint in Bologna, Italy, where I got my second Master’s degree, and now we’re full time in Brussels, Belgium. Phase III will focus more around what traveling as a couple looks like when you’re in a well-connected hub, have a reasonable salary, and that sweet, sweet European vacation time.
